I have been interested and involved in the field of nutrition for many years. A European Certified Nutritional Practitioner (ECNP) and on the Register of Nutritional Therapists since 2007, I am a committed professional.
As a professional, I'm trained, certified, licenced and insured to use my scientific nutritional knowledge in a therapeutically curative and healing way. I tend to focus on a holistic approach to nutrition and lifestyle with a particular interest in mental health
In addition to therapy consultations, I also work as a technical adviser in the livestock feed industry, both here in the UK and abroad.
After gaining a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science form the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in 1999, I completed my PhD at Bristol University. It was whilst studying for my doctorate that I began to research the science of human nutrition. Now fully qualified in nutritional therapy, I assesses the whole body and the underlying causes of illness rather than just treating a symptom.
Aware of the stress and strain of modern-day life, I believe the key to well-being is through achieving the right balance of nutrition and lifestyle, particularly through exercise and fresh food. My understanding of the complex interaction of food and nutrients within the body’s biosystem, enables me to tailor the best solution for each client to work in harmony with the body and its own natural synergy.
